Review: ASUS ROG Poseidon GTX 980 Platinum
Features
One of the most interesting features of the ASUS ROG Poseidon GTX 980 Platinum graphics card is no other than the hybrid DirectCU H2O cooling solution which offers users the choice to chill the GPU with air cooling or liquid cooling. The ROG team has designed the Poseidon so that users don’t need to remove the original cooler and fit with a custom cooling kit like waterblock. ASUS say that the DirectCU H2O in liquid cooling mode can reduce the GPU temperature by up to 27°C and eventually increase overclocking potential to a higher level.
ASUS also gave the Poseidon GTX 980 Platinum a 10-phase DIGI+ VRM Super Alloy Power design with high-quality Black Metallic Capacitors to deliver precise digital power for superior efficiency, reliability, and performance. The included GPU Tweak overclocking utility helps you modify clock speeds, voltages, fan performance and more, all via an intuitive interface. GPU Tweak Streaming application allows users to share on-screen action in real time so that other friends can watch the game live.
